10 years and more of development, projects and people, managed with perseverance, enriched with constant and important investments, mean a wide quantity of proprietary code, a precious resourse of experience, a high level of reliance about Products, Solutions e Projects.

We call Suite the collection of all softwares and plugins. Software and plugins have a description, a manual, an installation CD and a price list; final users can also evaluate our products in Internet and learn autonomously the use.
We call software Solution a collection of Products and standard plugins suitable for solving particolar problems such as: network management, garbage management and many others that also need some analysis and database customization.
We call Projects all the orders or contracts that have needed of advisory service, customization, database population service, annual assistance agreement, as well as software supply.

Products Suite
CADPak, GISPak, 3wGIS, MobileGIS
This Suite is our answer to CAD and GIS users’ needs, under three typical platforms: desktop, web and mobile. It is composed of Web Oriented applications based on Autodesk and Microsoft technologies.
I&S Suite is the italian answer to the large and various request about CAD\GIS applications and ad-hoc solutions, coming from Local and Central Public Agencies, Multiutilities and public or private engineering departments.

The main peculiarity of this Suite, based on Autodesk Map, Autodesk MapGuide e Autodesk OnSite View functionalities, lies in its large web orienting, totally parametric and easily customizable. Through reorganization of data model and themes, this Suite is quickly and easily configurable in order to answer to all various needs, and also editable on-the-fly, without loss of money and data.
These system’s features, concerning of generality and parametric, are the real power of I&S GIS\CAD Suite and it is so difficult any kind of comparison with other Solutions which present a dedicated product.
This philosophy (only one product for several demands) presents a lot of benefits, such as:

Vertical Products
In order to identify products and their application field, the generic term “GIS” in GISPak, 3wGIS MobileGIS has been replaced with some distinction name easily associable to its application field.

For every application there is a dedicated brochure that show the general functions inherent specific field and exist the possibility of remote demo, thanks to videoconference and the Internet.

System's Architecture
GIS section of the Suite is made up of three pivot products: GISPak, 3wGIS e MobileGIS that share a Data Warehouse composed of:

• A cartographic system based on Autodesk Map, Autodesk MapGuide, Autodesk and Autodesk OnSite View.
• a geoencoded alphanumeric system based on Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle or Access\SQL Server\Oracle or Open Source system depending on users' needs.

Customization
This Suite Data Warehouse is controlled by:

• a maintenance and customization system of the structure of database called DB Manager: Desktop Environment, Autodesk Map + “Pro” series .
• An admittance management system from Web and Mobile, called SM Security Manager, that checks the entry to maps, to documents and to the database with the single field detail: Web Environment, Autodesk MapGuide + “3w” series .

Three in One: CAD, GIS, TDM
This Suite allows to face easily, rationally and fully, a great quantity of troubles linked to planning, production and management of any kind of GIS giving a parametric solution to three different needs:

• CAD and carto/topographic, dedicated to survey, creating, texturing and printing the cartographic data
• GIS, dedicated to association between typical graphics entity (point, line and polygon) and a database
• TDM (Technical Data Management), for the georeferenced data management (drawings: DWG, DWF, DXF, DGN etc; photo: JPG, TIF, BMP; documents: RTF, DOC, XLS, etc.)

Suite Operative Enviroment

CAD Planning - AutoCAD and CADPak
This is the most known enviroment and AutoCAD tools are widely used by technicians and engineers. The extreme matching of CAD with GIS in many activities of technical department and the common base engine of AutoCAD e Autodesk Map, makes AutoCAD the perfect tool to approach Autodesk Map in a technical department of the Multiutilities.
Full Editing GIS - Autodesk Map and GISPak
This enviroment is manager and user at the same time, therefore totally indipendent. It can work in stand alone mode or in NLM network and allows all the typical combined operation of CAD, GIS and TDM. It supervises, thanks to a DB Manager, the creation and the maintenance of the graphic/alphanumeric database structure and supplies some functions for cartographic and data publication on MapGuide web server.
GIS Web Oriented -Autodesk MapGuide and 3wGIS
This enviroment, also with a different interface, similar to a typical Internet browser, thanks to 3wGIS, allows a lot of functions with a GISPak-like interface, with which it shares the database. All the functions of MapGuide Client are controlled by a SM Security Manager that supervises to the password management and to the rights qualification.
Web Clients can be also qualified as remote editing of alphanumeric database and data printing, obtained from Queries draw up in SQL language.
GIS Mobile - Autodesk OnSite View and MobileGIS
This enviroment has received a big pulse thanks to the birth of several organizer with Windows CE O.S. and mobile phones with Symbian O.S. and especially for the availability of mobile phone connections faster and faster.
Mobile devices with a GSM\GPRS connection combined with Global Positioning Systems, supply a set of functions that can be seen as the natural fulfillment of any GIS application.

Summary of principal function of I&S CAD \ GIS Suite:

CAD Tools
It makes available more than 300 new CAD functions, necessary in making up, editing and updating of a map such as: DWG direct conversion of NTF and CXF cadastral files; enhanced management of: rasters files, vector files and aerial photos.
GIS Tools
It makes the use of typical GIS operations easy and automatic: point, line and polygon topology creation; single and multiple creation of topological overlay; Arcview shape file import and export; automatic and/or helped associations between graphic items and database.
Dinamic Publishing on Web
Graphic items drawn in Autodesk Map are publishing in real-time on MapGuide, simplifing the Author use. Database structure edits, done on GISPak, have immediatly included from 3wGIS and MobileGIS.
Parametric Database
Graphic items' database and masks are completely parametric and customisable without any alteration of the source code.
Calculated Fields
User can place the result of complicated formulas, containing variables and values linked to queries, in any field of the database.
Shared Database
This Suite shares the graphic database (DWG, SDF, SHP, Oracle Spatial) and the alphanumeric one (MSDE o Oracle) dinamically thanks to a Web Server based on Windows 2000\XP.
Data Synchronization
Automatic Synchronism between: local and remote database, database and graphic items.
SM Security Manager
Visualization and editing for graphic, database and documents' factors, on Web and Mobile, can be constrained through rights assigned to users’ passwords.
Bidirectional Navigation between objects and database
User can move between the graphic item of the same class and corresponding record on the database table and viceversa.
Summary and eased queries
User can realize enquiries on the database using multiple filters and wizards, detecting the position of the searched objects. Alphanumeric results can be seen in tables, clustered according to the fields, analysed and exported in .XLS files.
Parametric Reports
Easy creation of Reports on spatial filtered objects or on database with the opportunity of inserting maps extracts automatically.
Statistics and Theme
User can do: statistic analysis, range clustering, themes thanks to sophisticated criterions of colour texturing as a function of the value of any field in the associated database.
